About
Built for people carrying work that cannot stay scattered.
Continuity Desk is a private editorial desk built by Boomer Rawlings through Rawlings Consulting LLC. It exists for the kind of work that keeps returning: dissertations, founder decisions, professional reading, creative systems, family coordination, long-term responsibilities, and projects with too many moving parts to hold in memory alone.
The service is intentionally small. A good desk requires attention, restraint, source discipline, and a real relationship to the work over time.
Editorial Philosophy
The point is continuity, not output volume.
The desk remembers
A useful private desk carries forward the project frame, prior decisions, unresolved questions, source trails, and the next useful move.
The work stays yours
Continuity Desk can help organize, frame, synthesize, and prepare. It does not replace your authorship, professional judgment, or responsibility for submitted work.
Sources have limits
Policy sources, research articles, interviews, reports, and practitioner knowledge can each support different kinds of claims. The desk keeps those boundaries visible.
AI is leverage, not authorship
AI helps with drafting, synthesis, and range. Human judgment decides what is worth saying, what is overreach, and what should be removed.
Scope
Educational, editorial, and strategic support.
Continuity Desk can help you understand a landscape, organize sources, prepare for a meeting, clarify tradeoffs, preserve project memory, and ask better questions.
It is not legal advice, medical advice, therapy, financial planning, academic ghostwriting, or a substitute for a licensed or institutionally responsible professional. When a topic crosses one of those lines, the desk should help you prepare for the right conversation rather than pretend to replace it.
Use, Ownership, And Materials
Continuity Desk materials are provided for the client's personal, educational, professional, and internal use. Rawlings Consulting LLC retains ownership of the original editorial structure, design, language, layout, and desk methodology.
Clients retain ownership of their own submitted materials, personal information, notes, drafts, and underlying ideas. Public facts, citations, and third-party source materials remain subject to their own rights and licenses.
Materials may be shared with advisors, collaborators, household members, or relevant professional contacts for noncommercial use. They may not be sold, republished, publicly distributed, licensed, or incorporated into a commercial product without written permission.
If this sounds like the kind of support your work has been missing, I would like to hear what you are carrying.
